Don’t judge a book by its cover.

What do you spend more of your time on?

Making yourself look pretty and attractive on the outside? Working on your character? Or becoming a better person in Christ?

Yes, in todays’ society, almost everyone looks and judges people for their outward appearance but there are still a few people left who take after Christ. They don’t focus on the outward appearance of a person but instead, they look at the character of the person.

Looks can be deceiving and many people fall for this. They get played because they think that because a person is beautiful on the outside , it automatically means that they are beautiful on the inside as well.

But this couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m not saying that just because someone is pretty on the outside that it means that they have an ugly character. No that’s not it. There are people in this world who are pretty both on the outside and inside.

When we look at someone, we can’t judge them for their looks and use that as a bases to determine what kind of person they are. Looks will not tell you what you really want to know. If you want to find out what kind of person someone really is, pay attention to the little details, how they react in different situations.

“Don’t judge a book by its cover”

You ever heard that phrase? Just because a book has a very attractive cover, does not mean that the book itself will be any good. The same can be applied to us humans. We don’t and can’t know the inside of a person just by looks alone.

“You can speak with Spiritual eloquence, pray in public, and maintain a holy appearance…but its your behavior that will reveal your true character” -Steve Maraboli
