Can you hear me?

Am I the only one who feels like my prayers just of up to the ceiling? Lately, I’ve been feeling as though God doesn’t hear me or just doesn’t want anything to do with me. I’ve tired to figure out and solve my problems by myself, but that’s been going no where. He’s the only one who can help me but I haven’t got an answer back from Him. I know that God doesn’t always answer right away, but I’ve been praying about the same thing for months. I’ve been praying to get a job, and now more than ever I need a reply, but still He is silent.

You know when you call someone and if its very urgent, you leave a voicemail right? Usually the people call you back within the next 24 hours or so, but with God, it’s different. It’s like no matter how many voicemails you leave Him, or how many times you call Him, He just doesn’t get back to you.

How come God doesn’t come to us when we call so desperately for Him?

When God doesn’t answer, we begin to wonder where He is and if He even got our message. Our human response to this is to think that God is too busy for us or He just simply forgotten us. I admit, I am 100% guilty of doing this because I did exactly just that. I thought that God forgot about me or was angry with me, so that’s why He wouldn’t respond to my calls.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”      -Psalm 27:14

We have to learn to wait on God no matter how desperate we get. He will respond, its just a matter on when. He will respond when the timing is right for Him, not when we think the timing is right for us. And that’s what I forgot to keep in mind.

God has a reason for not responding to us right away when we call out. We only see the now, only see one piece of the puzzle, but God sees the whole picture.

While we wait, we have to trust and have faith in God. He will eventually answer us. We have to trust that God knows what He is doing.
