Read Your Bible

Many christians ask why its important to read the Bible. I asked the same question when I was younger. There are many reasons to why we should read The Bible. One reason we should read it, is because it is reliable and without error and it’s Gods’ word to us. The Bible is literally ‘God Breathed.’ 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” Our God is an unchanging God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Although everything around us may be changing, we can be sure that God and His word, The Bible, are not going to change. The Bible was relevant when it was first written and it is still relevant for us today.

By reading The Bible, God will reveal to us what will bring us lasting joy. Not like something that will bring joy just for the moment. When we read The Bible, we learn how one truely gets to heaven. I guarantee you that you won’t find that information anywhere else. We live in a world where there is so many false teachings. If you read The Bible and are familiar with it, then you will be able to see what is true and that which is false.

Another reason for reading The Bible is that we learn how to correctly serve our God. The Bible gives us specific instructions and what to do to please God. For example, Ephesians 6:17 says “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” God himself tells us that we need to take upon ourselves the sword of the Spirit. The sword of the Spirit, is the word of God, which is The Bible.

If you want to be successful in life, then you should be reading your Bible. Because without The Bible, what do we really have? We having nothing. Without it, you won’t know how you are supposed to live your life in away that is pleasing to God. But one cannot just simply read The Bible. Anyone can read The Bible and say that they read it daily. When we read it, we have to read it in away, that we know how to apply and use that information in our daily lives.
